So I came across an old K6II-380 yesterday and I figured the latest edgy server cd rouldn't be a problem. Everything installed fine and after reboot, grub starts up, and ... it resets to bios, again and again. Apparently this is a known issue regarding the install cd and the workaround is to use the alternate cd and just install a command line system.
