While Wes Craven's movie "The Pulse" may have not gotten the greatest reviews, I thought it was incredible, and give it an 8 out of 10. I had previously posted about this on our apocalyptic forum, and was really hoping they would make a Pulse 2, and in fact I was going to start a petition.. but apparently there is no need. Joel Soisson (one of the producers of Pulse and has worked on a large body of mostly B-work) is going to write and direct the next 2 Pulse movies, which will be filmed back to back starting this September in Shreveport, Louisiana. It's also reported that none of the original stars will be back for the sequels.

Now for those who haven't seen the original Pulse I highly recommend getting a copy, and since these are in the works I will post up a review of the original sometime in the next month hopefully. Here's the plot outline of the original:


"The hacker Josh invades the computer of Douglas Ziegler, who is developing a powerful wireless signal and accidentally releases a mysterious force that take the will to live of the human beings, generating a suicide epidemic and increasing the force. His girlfriend and student of psychology Mattie sees each one of their common friends die and the destruction of the modern world, and together with her new acquaintance Dexter, they try to plan a virus developed by Josh in the network to shutdown the system and save mankind."

The first sequel is titled PULSE: AFTERLIFE

The world has been reshaped by the invasion of ghosts via the wireless internet. Cities are deserted, technology has been destroyed and the few remaining human beings eschew anything electrical in order to avoid a confrontation with the soulless ghosts that now wander the planet. Most of the ghosts are doomed to a repetitive loop of something they did while they were still despairing humans (a man repeatedly hangs himself, for example), but there are some ghosts so locked in denial, they do not know they are dead. They continue to haunt their homes, wrapped in fear that their souls will soon be torn from them.

The second sequel is titled PULSE: INVASION

It is now seven years later and the survivors on Earth have settled into a primitive lifestyle completely void of electronics. The clusters of human survivors live together in refugee camps as the phantoms have taken over the cities. Justine is now a teenager and she escapes to the city to try and make a life for herself where she is not a drain on her adopted family (her parents both became phantoms in part one). She heads in to the city at the urging of Adam, a seeming survivor in the city that lures her with promises of understanding and friendship.

The move had a great plot. I really feel sorry I didnt think of it because I could have made a great game from it!
