quietearth [Celluloid 11.27.07] movie news scifi horror



Currently filming in Australia and due to be finished by March of 2008 is what is being described as "Aliens meets the Evil Dead". Ever since seeing John Carpenter's The Thing I've been in love with Arctic movies.. and The Last Winter just continued on that great tradition. We don't have much info for you on this right now, but hopefully we'll have some more soon.

"At Research Station 320 one mile beneath the Earth's surface something has gone terribly wrong. All communications are gone, all means of escape destroyed and a deadly horde of ravenous creatures is on the loose. Now 8 survivors must barricade themselves inside a remote area of the facility with little food, almost no means of defense and no hope of rescue. Their one possible escape route is through 13 levels of terror that will lead them to the surface .....if they can make it."
