What do you get when you mix Angus Scrimm, the last women alive, some robots, and War of the Worlds? Automatons, which is hitting DVD on January 29th, and is actually by James Felix McKenney who is also working on SATAN HATES YOU! A good low budget PA sci-fi flick, a tub of nuts and bolts, and a large synethic 10W40, ahhh.. oh wait, that's Bender. Pre-order link available off website.
"In a post-apocalyptic future, a lone girl (Christine Spencer) tends to a decaying band of robot soldiers fighting in a generations-old war sparked by humans over conflicting ideologies. As the Enemy Leader (Brenda Cooney) beams destructive video signals into her compound, the Girl tries to discern the origins of the war by watching a video diary left by the Scientist, played by Angus Scrimm (Phantasm)."
