For fans of William Gibson's Neuromancer (of which I am one) comes news from joblo that Hayden Christensen will be starring as Case, and that Joseph Kahn will be directing with a budget of $70M. Woah. I wonder if he'll get harassed like the Transformers folks did? Implementing this story will be like, well, I can't think of anything to compare it to, it'll just be really hard.

On the new "Blade Runner" documentary, "Dangerous Days," Kahn says he studied every aspect of Scott's cyberpunk classic. That could be a good sign... however I hear ya, "Torque" did not leave a good taste in my mouth either.

Blade Runner may be called "cyberpunk" but it's definitely not in the same vein as Neuromancer, I say get another director, Vincenzo Natali would do, or maybe Enki Bilal.
