Based on the book by Morton Rhue, this is clearly reminiscent of Germany's nazi past. It's about a high school teachers attempt to demonstrate to his students what it's like to live under a dictatorship, and his experiment spins horribly out of control. This will obviously be dropping at Sundance coming up here shortly, and there is a teaser on the website, but the trailer we have embedded after the break is a bit more descriptive, even if you can't understand German.

Hello. In 2008 I attended Sundance for a week as a volunteer and another week as a spectator. I saw 21 films, and The Wave was my
hands down favorite. If this film is available in the United States on DVD, I would sure like to buy it. Regards - Chathol-linn
