A standout feature at this year's Screamfest, Paranormal Activity even had Dread Central horror vet Andrew Kasch raving that "The entire auditorium was freaked out of their minds...people were actually physically shaking...". So yeah, with an endorsement like that how can I not be excited about this one?

As you can see by the synopsis below, the film is taking the "this is real footage" approach that Blair Witch and so many others are now adopting, but Paranormal Activity looks to be a rare case where the style actually works to facilitate the plot and not just add to the visceral excitement.

"A young couple suspects that their house is haunted by a malevolent entity so they set up video surveillance to capture evidence of what happens at night as they sleep. Their surveillance and home videos have been edited into the 99 minute feature film "Paranormal Activity."
