We haven't even gotten to see Timecrimes, which will be playing at Sundance, and United Artists has already snapped up the rights for the remake. Here's a short plot summary: "A man accidentally gets into a time machine and travels back in time nearly an hour. Finding himself will be the first of a series of disasters of unforeseeable consequences." That makes 2 recent Spanish films ([rec] being the other) getting a redo! Steve Zaillian, the writer of many great screenplays including Searching for Bobby Fischer, Schindler's List, and Gangs of New York, is set to produce. Magnolia has US distribution rights for the original. Trailer and website after the break!
