We announced this in our forums a few days ago but apparently nobody payed attention to it so I guess that's the last time we do that. According to Tokyograph, filming completed on this in December and it's now in a lengthy post-production process with a release set for December 6th. It's about a series of earthquakes in Japan causing the biggest typhoon in history which submerges areas of Tokyo. A rescue squad receives a distress code, "252", signifying survivors, from an underground mall where a former rescue squad officer is trapped in the mall with his daughter. How do earthquakes cause a typhoon? I think you mean tsunami.

Haha, your right, it sounds off.. but thats what the Tokyograph article says.

And to totally geek out on tsunami's, they are actually limited in height by the amount of displacement caused by the width of the earth's crust, from my understanding is only about 6ft. The amount of force delivered by a tsunami can be massive, but they never will get very tall or large.
But this is sci fi, if a butterfly flaps it's wings on Jurassic Park because of an earthquake in Japan, and then this in turn leads to the creation of the largest typhoon ever to hit Japan, just role with it!

Geeking out a little more: mid-ocean tsunamis may only reach a metre or two in height, but it's when they reach the continental shelf, where the sea floor rises quickly, the energy and water is also forced up. That's how you end up with waves potentially dozens of metres tall hitting the land, while a ship on the open ocean wouldn't even notice the tsunami passing.
