Yeah, the title sounds interesting, but is it metaphorical or literal? The film was produced by Barrie Osborne, who also produced Lord of the Rings, and is currently in post. It has a budget of somewhere around $47M and is about an Asian warrior played by Jang Dong Gun, who is forced to hide in a small town in the American badlands. He meets the town drunk played by Geoffrey Rush, and a circus knife thrower played by Kate Bosworth, both of whom have powerful secrets. I can't find a set release date other then sometime in 2008. More thorough storyline following.
"Yang, the World's Greatest Swordsman, leaves his clan and flees Asia with baby April, the last of the enemy bloodline. Hoping to make a new life for himself as a humble laundryman in America's Wild West, he comes to know and care about the people of Lode, a small, forgotten town filled with carnival players. While there, Yang finds a pupil/lover in Lin, (a beautiful Asian girl), but also makes new enemies with the Hell Riders, a marauding gang of vicious thugs. Reluctant to stand forward and defend the town, because it will mean revealing his identity, Yang is soon forced to pick up his sword and lead the "carnies" and townsfolk in to an incredible battle against the loathsome Hell Riders. At the pitched height of that battle, Yang's past, the Asian sword clan he left behind, ("The Sad Flutes"), attack raising the battle to an epic crescendo..."

It's live action, and it might also be part western, but the info available is not totally clear.

Oh I soooo want to see this, sounds like 'the seven samuari' but with even more whimsy.

this korean actor is going to help save the asian image in America.
Chinese actors gave asians the stereotype that we are all short and nerdy.
This korean guy is tall and handsome.
He's pretty old now... but people will see his old youth pictures and how cool he is.

I'm of Korean descent. Err. Most Koreans ain't that tall. They are just average height. The Chinese are incredibly diverse. They tend to be very tall in the north and short in the south. Some have green or gray eyes, dark to light hair, speak diff languages. Much more diverse than Koreans. People think Koreans are good looking just because of their media is so popular, just like people think Californians are blonde and have big boobs and run around partying all the time. I should mention that I'm Californian too. Most neglect the mention that California has the highest concentration of the best Universities in the US. ^_^
