Promising to be "visually lush", The Dead Outside sounds similar to 28 Days Later in that a virus has turned people violent. But are they zombies? I don't know, unfortunately they haven't responded to my email yet. Two girls hole up in a farmhouse, but a 3rd shows up who's even more dangerous then what's outside.. I'm guessing where this is going. Principal photography was just recently completed and post has just started. Full synopsis after the break.
"A neurological pandemic has consumed the population. Drug-resistance has mutated the virus into a ravaging psychological plague, rendering ‘the dying’ desperate, paranoid and violent. Two survivors come together on an isolated farmhouse in desperate circumstances- April, a young mysterious girl with a dark past has survived alone for months, and Daniel, a man desperate and bereaved, clings desperately onto hope in the outside world. When a mysterious stranger turns up, they are confronted with a new enemy even deadlier than the one beyond the perimeter."
