The boys over at Twitch have done it again, providing the world with exclusive footage of an upcoming cult masterpiece, one which heralds an ongoing wave of Japanese film domination, and soon to be cut (baby laxative style) with much more American and European cinema by the looks of many films that are in the works. Sporting about 3 water towers worth of blood in a mere 5 minutes, maggot candy, and protruding alien proboscis, be forewarned that this is highly enjoyable but NSFW. Made by the people who did Machine Girl, (c)(tm) zing zing. Footage after ze break!

"The plot of TOKYO GORE POLICE revolves around Ruka, a police officer in a special squad formed to eradicate human mutations that have recently sprung into existence, the result of a virus created by a mad scientist simply known as Key Man. Killing these unwieldy mutants is no easy task, and Ruka, naturally enough, carries a samurai sword with her at all times. Despite being on opposite sides of the fence, Ruka and Key Man share a common bond: the murder of their fathers years earlier at the hands of the police, and both she and Key Man seek revenge for their dads’ untimely demise."

I saw Battle Royale last night. Loads of Japanese schoolkids chopping each other up on an island a la Lord of the Flies. Awesome.

Well, that was disturbing.

Whoa...

To Cyberhal:

Battle Royal is classic, just stay away from the risible Battle Royal II.

Too bad you didn't give me the same advice...

Haha.. sorry GH, but the rule of thumb is, if it's a sequel, it probably sucks. Battle Royale rules! Btw, have you seen that Vertigo is planning to do a remake? Ugh.

Did I see someone with swords for arms and legs?
Eviscerations, decapitations, dismemberments...I am beyond hooked.
The 'walk away' at the end said it all.

Fulci, eat thy heart out.
