Based on the popular comic book series by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli, Hack/Slash looks like it has the potential to be a thrilling hybrid of I Spit on your Grave and The Warriors though, from the sounds of it, that's not what writer Justin Marks has planned. Recently hired by Rogue Pictures to flesh out the screenplay, Marks has gone on record as saying that it'll also be heavy on the comedy. Now, if the name Justin Marks doesn't ring any bells for you it's because, while he's behind huge adaptations like Voltron, Street Fighter, and He-Man, none of those films have been released yet. How Marks is getting so much work without having ever been attached to a film that's seen financial or critical success is beyond me, but he's certainly a name that's been carrying a lot clout in tinsel town.

Synopsis: "Hack/Slash follows a horror victim named Cassie Hack, who strikes back at the homicidal maniacs and serial killers, known as “slashers”." Director Todd Lincoln is set to direct.
