Indie director Shane Felux is mostly known for wasting his talents on Star Wars fan films. Particularly one of them, a comedic short called Pitching Lucas, which was even hand picked by George himself to be crowned king of all the Star Wars parodies. Of course none of this interests us quite as much as Trenches, an ambitious new scifi web series spearheaded by Felux which is set to premiere sometime in the fall of 2008. Action packed and seriously FX laden, Felux's series looks to blend the space opera of Star Wars, the hard edged militarism of Starship Troopers and the horror of Aliens. Can't wait to see more? Synopsis: "Locked in a grueling war on a backwater planet, two enemies find themselves abandoned by their own. They must put aside their differences and work together if they are to survive.


And they better do it quick - they are not alone on this rock."
