Josef Rusnak's remake of Larry Cohen's cult classic It's Alive has received what might be the longest trailer known to mankind. Seriously, this thing feels like the Ben-Hur of trailers. I'm surprised it didn't have an intermission. And, is it just me, or has the It's Alive concept not held up very well? A newborn that murders people just seemed to work better in the seventies when its lampooning of Rosemary's Baby actually had cultural relevance. So why would I post something just to make fun of it? Well, my utter adoration of Larry Cohen demands that I utter his name whenever possible, as well as eviscerate those who would sully his legacy. But you don't have to take my word for it. Check out the trailer after the break.

Synopsis: "The movie tells the story about a couple who find that their newborn baby has an appetite for murder, when scared."

Sweet. Had no idea this was being remade. I may be one of the few that actually liked the original. And both sequels at that! I own the trilogy DVD set. Please don't judge me.
