Last week we reported on a very twisted sounding British horror flick called MUM & DAD that, based on only a brief description, showed amazing promise as being yet another must-see micro-budgeted production from our filmmaking mates across the pond. Well after some time spent speaking with director Steven Sheil, it seems that QE has been given first alert on the new trailer which dropped for it over the weekend as well as three exclusive stills. And honestly, it looks as well made and twisted as we'd hoped. Of course, staying true to British form, MUM & DAD also has social satire at its heart which will no doubt make it a hit at The Edinburgh International Film Festival this June and beyond. As a side note I should also say that we've also been told that the image to the right is not an official poster for the film but an invite for a screening made by the director. We should be seeing some promotional art for the film soon though. Trailer and exclusive stills after the break.

"Finding herself stranded after work one night, airport cleaner Lena accepts an offer of help from perky colleague Birdie, who lives nearby with her closeknit family. But Birdie's front door proves to be the gateway to a very British sort of nightmare … This genuinely shocking, darkly witty Brit horror pushes all the boundaries – as well as offering a troubling alternative explanation for the recent chaos at a certain new flight terminal. Contains scenes which some viewers may find disturbing."

wow. that's like if Ken Loach started doing horror. Looks very good and a total head-do.

could have been better. cinematography started off interesting with a couple of nice shots..then went to craps when the cheesy soundtrack started. ken loach could do a lot better if he was interested in horror/gore at all.
