Don't ask me why, because on some sane level I know I'm being completely irrational, but I hate this kind of thing. When Dimension Extreme and Genius Products drop WAZ on DVD this August you might wonder where the heck it is when you march down to your local Best Buy. Well, that's because the title of the well received British thriller has been changed to "The Killing Gene" in an attempt, I would assume, to make it more inviting to westerners. "The Killing Gene?" Whatever. Anyway, the good news is that WAZ, a film we've been really jazzed to see, will be at least getting a wide DVD release by a company known for putting some love into its titles. Full DVD details after the break.

"The Killing Gene" (ugh) will be released on August 12th and will feature a widescreen transfer with Dolby 5.1 sound.

Supplements Include:

• Three deleted scenes
• The Making of THE KILLING GENE featurette
• Torture featurette
• In-depth interview with the director, producer and screenwriter
