An action film centered on a vampire-like woman who eats the skins and hearts of her lovers, Painted Skin has been called "neo-wuxia" and after the promo left people aghast. Apparently nothing has come out of Hong Kong like this in a while, and after you see the pictures below the break, you'll see what I mean. It's tentatively slated for a September release, here's hoping we get to see it soon thereafter.

You had me at "Donnie Yen." Trailer is no longer available at YouTube, but though what I saw over at TWITCH left a little to be desired, I look forward to seeing a more bona fide, well put together trailer. Still, the idea is exciting.
