Directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor have a definite love of the big, the bold, and the brash and, luckily for us, also have the imaginations to match. Their first feature, the outrageous Crank, won over audiences with its adrenaline pace (pun totally intended), and penchant for the 'ol ultra violence - putting their upcoming film Game close to top of my most anticipated film pile. For those of you who haven't yet heard; Game is set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments. A star player (Butler) from a game called "Slayers" looks to regain his independence while taking down the game's mastermind (Hall). Cool hey? Game has all the hallmarks of an amazing futuristic, cyberpunk infused, actioner and sounds like an awesome cross between Gladiator and The Running Man. Check out the stills after the break.

These stills, which come courtesy of /Film, definitely give us the impression that Game will be as intense as we're hoping so stay tuned for more details.

Is Gerard Butler still playing Snake Plissken in the remake of Escape from New York? I heard a rumor this week that it was Josh Brolin now. I think Butler would be better suited myself.
