For those who don't know of Cory McAbee and his brilliant debut feature, American Astronaut, go out and rent it NOW. It's a musical scifi comedic epic unparalleled in all film, in fact, it easily fits within my top 100 all time flicks. That aside, while still looking for funding for his next flick Werewolf Hunters of the Midwest, Cory's band The Bill Nayer Show has been renamed after his movie, and their debut EP as just dropped called Goodbye California. Even more goodness, the music video is after the break, and yeah, it's a trip.

American Astronaut is so damn good, I've been trying recommend it to everyone I meet for years now and THE people who actually watch the movie has loved it.

It's a damn shame he can't get funding for his next movie, it's been in the making so damn long now, I can't wait damn it! :(

Strange with the band name though, sounds like they're just trying to cash in on the popularity of the movie. Maybe to get funding more easy?
