With two real stinkers tarnishing Ritchie's name i.e Swept Away and Revolver (well, Revolver's merits are debatable but it damn well ain't no Snatch), RocknRolla carries a lot of weight as the film that fans are hoping will see a return to form for the best director to ever come from the school of Tarantino. And after watching the world premiere of the film's trailer over at Empire, I gotta say that things are looking pretty good. Outlandishly experimental Guy Ritchie is gone, replaced by the man who is much more at home spinning yarns about shady dealers, two-bit thugs, and dumb as hammers yes men. Plus, with a cast of British acting royalty supporting everyone's favorite new bruiser Gerard Butler, I think its safe to assume that Ritchie's got himself another winner here.
Synopsis: "London's criminal underworld takes notice of a Russian mobster's shady land deal, a scam that puts millions of dollars up for grabs."
