Casshern style visuals and a terrifyingly plausible dystopic scenario make Repo! The Genetic Opera a film to keep an eye on. The first couple of clips that made their way out into the wide world of film fandom didn't really convince me that Darren Lynn Bousman's (of Saw II fame) film was worth much of my time but I think you'll agree after watching this new trailer that the film has both an interesting style as well as plot. Set in the 2056, REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, tells the story of an epidemic of organ failures that devastates the planet, killing tens of millions. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants… for a price. Repo! The Genetic Opera is having it's world premiere at this year's FanTasia film fest in Montreal Canada so hey, if you're in the area and want to send some of your thoughts to us in review form, just get in touch with us!
