Good news everyone! We just received word from director Eric Bilodeau that his upcoming scifi/horror flick Hunting Grounds will be getting some screen time at this year's FanTasia film fest in Montreal. Not only that, but his partner in crime, Simon Boivin, will open the screening with his 80s style post-apocalyptic short 2027: Le Depart, which we reviewed only yesterday. Bad news everyone! Unfortunately it's getting screened at the same time as Kitamura's Midnight Meat Train, which I know a lot of people are interested in seeing. But, considering Midnight Meat Train's gonna be readily available very shortly, we'd strongly suggest loosing the mob mentality, going out on a limb, and checking out some adventurous French Canadian fare. These guys excel at getting something from nothing, and are on their way to becoming big names genre cinema.
