From our friends over at 24FPS comes word that the trailer for Tomoyuki Takimotos tale of unnatural selection Ikigami and it looks like a fantastic mix of cutting edge scifi business with drama. Ikigami roughly translates to death notice, which is what unproductive citizens are served at random in the film. "The story revolves around a man named Kengo Fujimoto who has passed said age of 24 and now has the unenviable job of delivering the Ikigami to victims. We see him mature with each delivery and the story also follows a few of the victims." You can check out the teaser here, but the link to the website with the full trailer is after the break.

I couldn't comment on the previous post so I guess I'll comment here. Just wondering why concern for the environment--you know, the source of all life as we know it, which directly affects human longevity and quality of life--is considered "dirty hippy" stuff? You were being tongue & cheek, I hope.
