While this wouldn't exactly be the first time that a director has used zombies as a metaphor to express his socio-political concerns, Zombie Allegiance definitely takes it one step further. Set in a devastated world where almost everyone is either dead or undead, and most of the survivors are either food for the flesheaters, have turned into vicious vigilantes, or are hopeless leftovers, Zombie Allegiance is, according to director Tony Nunes, also "a strange examination of the state of American politics and religion in a post-nuclear WWIII America.” Horror experts Fangoria got a first look at the film and say that Nunes is apparently hard at work finishing up principle photography and is predicting an October premiere so we'll be sure to keep you updated. Thanks to Avery for the heads up.
