Who says those who write can't do? You may not have heard of director Rodrigo Gudino but if you've spent any time browsing horror mags at your favorite book store there's a good chance you've picked up Rue Morgue, a premiere Canadian horror mag he founded. Personally I'm a regular reader of them, both in print and online, so it's cool to see that they're serious about heading into the film production side with "Rue Morgue Cinema." The Facts in the Case of Mister Hollow is Gudino's third flick, and looks engrossing and sinister as well as very stylish. It centers on a single photograph that dates back to the early 1930s. As the camera begins to investigate the particulars of the photo, however, it reveals a tapestry of secrets hidden in the details, and a tale of murder, kidnapping and sacrifice captured in a haunting moment.
