While checking around I saw that our friends at Filmstalker had the Watchmen trailer online, but it keeps getting yanked everyone, so enjoy it while it's still available! Based on the hugely popular comic, the story revolves around "a gritty and alternate 1985 the glory days of costumed vigilantes have been brought to a close by a government crackdown, but after one of the masked veterans is brutally murdered an investigation into the killer is initiated. The reunited heroes set out to prevent their own destruction, but in doing so discover a deeper and far more diabolical plot." It'll be dropping in the states on March 6th, 2009. Check it after the break!

Billy Corgan is lame and should crawl back into the pit of the 90s. Nice find though. I have no idea what was going on in this trailer but it looked pretty damn cool. This premiered tonight before Dark Knight didn't it?

Anony is right, it doesn't show much, but I love that in today's trailer culture of reveal everything.
What I loved about it is the direct comparison to panels from the comic, and just how faithfully it's been recreated. Snyder is a big fan, obviously, and Dr. Manhattan looks great.
I'm really excited for this now. Oh, and check out Apple Trailers, it's there in HD now.
