We reported in June that the series NIN lead Trent Reznor wanted to do based on his dystopian themed album YEAR ZERO might be coming to cable, courtesy of Quentin Tarantino's partner Lawrence Bender. Even better news now, the LA Times is reporting that Reznor pitched the idea for a two season series to HBO a couple of weeks ago and it supposedly went "great". If this does happen, NIN would tie a second album and tour into the whole project. Year Zero takes place approximately 15 years in the future, with the U.S. a religious dictatorship and the world on the brink of environmental and social collapse." I for one am excited with this development, we all know the quality of HBO's series are outstanding and doing some type of scifi/dystopian themed thing (and hopefully tying it to some dark photography) would be killer. Let's hope it happens!

wow - this is some hot news. HBO always pick up the good TV series like the sopranos and the wire blew me away.

This is taking music to another level... Is this this the first time something like this has been done. If reznor is involved I'm sure it's going to be amazing.
