So it doesn't have much action but the production design looks fantastic, and blood? Nope, there's nary a hint of the supernatural.. well maybe a little bit. You will notice the trademark action sequence of running across a bamboo roof, and like we said in our last post, nothing has come out of Hong Kong like this in a while and it's being called "neo-wuxia". The film's plot centers on a vampire-like woman who eats the skins and hearts of her lovers and is based on a series of classic Chinese stories "Strange Tales of Liaozhai."
