I love starting the day with some good horror news. Seems there's been some activity on the website for indie horror flick Splinter. Besides some awesome new galleries, a production blog, wallpapers, and a complete run down of cast and crew, there's also a video podcast which features loads of footage from the film and an official announcement that Splinter will be receiving a limited theatrical release on October 31st (also known as Halloween). Also in the podcast, director Toby Wilkins and editor Dave Mauer, ask for your help in spreading the word so I've included their prodcast after the break in the hopes that you'll pass it on. Spinter is about three people who are trapped in an isolated gas station by a veracious Splinter parasite that transforms its still living victims into deadly hosts. The young couple and an escaped convict must find a way to work together to survive this primal terror. Video and link to the website after the break.
