Back at the beginning of September we were excited (well, some of us more than others) to hear that a long overdue 2-disc version of Waterworld would be released on DVD. Even better was the news that the oft discussed but rarely seen 177 minute version of the film would be included. At the time we didn't have any official artwork and the film wasn't listed anywhere to buy yet but I'm happy to report that now it is.
The DVD is set to be released from Universal Studios November 4, 2008. You can order it here, and I must say at $13.99 it's a steal. Go here to find out more about what's in the extended cut.

I was hoping to see more scenes with that bad ass boat with the Quad 50 Cal. AA guns mounted on the bow. (The one they use to attack the Atoll)

I hear that! Honestly, just the fact that someone had the balls to make Mad Max on water is cool factor enough. I like this movie.
