agentorange [Celluloid 10.24.08] movie trailer news horror



Wow, it's been a big day for mainstream horror trailers, and remakes of 80s slasher pics in particular. We've been pretty much ignoring this one since day two but then I saw this first trailer and thought, "wow this is possibly the weirdest new twist on film marketing I've seen in a while." It's like, it's a trailer for the movie and the 3D experience all in one, complete with scenes of people watching the movie in the theater and reacting to fireballs coming right out of the screen. I mean, I'm assuming that's not actually in the film, a la Scream or something.

Tom returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, however, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and it seems like his old flame (King) is the only one will believes he's innocent.

Anyway, check it out. Fans of Supernatural (I know you're out there) might be stoked to see Jensen Ackles step onto the big screen for a change. Also, after you watch the trailer you should watch the trailer for Trackman. The killers look exactly the same.
