quietearth [Celluloid 11.04.08] post apocalyptic news short

If you're in the US, you're probably out voting demican or republicrat today, but who cares because Scott Goldberg has finally released his PA short. We've been following the progress on this for a while and it was initially slated for a 9/11 release but got pushed back. It's finally available in full today, and clocks in at 7 minutes. Here's the basic plot outline:

"Nuclear War has put the world in a state of hopelessness. The film focuses on a man and his memories of his life and how life used to be before the attacks that were unleashed, possibly by his own government. As nuclear winter sets in, the only thing that can keep him alive is his memories of better days from the past."

What an insipid, simplistic piece of peacenik drivel. I can't wait until filmmakers stop making this tripe. Perhaps Obama's victory does have this as an upside.

Some nice camera shots... other than that - unwatchable, boring... I couldn't sit through it.
