In an interview with MTV today, Jean Claude Van Damme confirmed rumors that he will be returning to the Universal Soldier franchise. Unfortunately, it sounds like Dolf has yet to be confirmed, but it's at least encouraging to know that Peter Hyams (Outland, Timecop, End of Days) will be acting as DP. I'll turn it over to JCVD now:
"I don't know if they want to make it a video release or theatrical, I'm just going to do 10 days."
“I told them, guys bring in Dolph! They said there’s no more value [to cast him]. I said, ‘it will have value with me!’”
"Peter Hyams just yesterday called me to say he's going to DP my film. I said, ‘are you crazy? You’re going to DP? You’re an excellent director.’”
I like Universal Soldier in a fun, popcorn early Van Damme way. The same way I love Cyborg I guess. Is anyone else out there at least a little curious about how this'll turn out?

i wish hed pick another movie to return to the big screen with, but Im happy he got one last shot. His last string of like 6 movies have been great, so he deserves this!
