Escape of the Living Dead sounds awesome. It teams director John Russo, the original co-creator of Night of the Living Dead (aka the zombie movie that started it all) with frickin' Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen) in a film set in the same universe as Romero’s Night of the Living Dead. And get this, the story picks up many years after the initial outbreak. Based on the Avatar Comic of the same name, Escape also promises to be a return to traditional zombie values. In fact, here's what's posted on the film's official Facebook page:
"You'll be thrilled with "ESCAPE", as we are going back to the original zombie concepts, paying homage to the original, as well as other classic zombie movie treats."
We've been clocking this one for a while and while we don't have much, we do have an early pre-production reel after the break which utilizes some great artwork and footage from the actors' earlier careers.

Why taint this movie with such an awful 'promo'? The narration script is the scariest thing about it (followed closely by the narrator's voice). All I see are clips from other movies and some scans from a comic book. Now I'm worried the movie will suffer from the same bad decisions as the one to develop and release this idiotic promo!
