Posted under: movie trailer news scifi

At first I thought this was a new film from the writer and director of Smersh XXI but then I realized that it's the same film, just retitled The Interceptor for American markets (but if I'm wrong, please let me know). A Russian scifi flick that seems to have mindless action on the brain, The Interceptor is currently in post-production at RexMedia. This is strictly the stuff of B-movies but, if you can get past the terrible voice over and rough SFX, you may notice that the reel is actually peppered with some well choreographed fight scenes.

In the year 2020, a Special Unit agent is recruited by the Forces of Good Guardians to fight against all odds the evil plans to enslave the world.

The film is skedded to appear in 2009. Considering it's Russian I have no idea when we'll actually get a chance to see it but if all goes well it'll at least get some DVD love overseas.

i ll still watch it for the cinematography thou; has got a nice touch to it.

The trailer seems like it was created by an amateur. Bad Voice Over typical of B rated movies (i.e. "In a World...."). The clips are all edited together it seems. You can see the wires on one scene - looks like a making of... clip. The movie itself seems interesting though. Hope a REAL trailer comes out.

user icon I believe this is more of a sales reel than a full blown teaser which is why there hasn't been wire removal yet. We'll let you know when a full blown trailer emerges.
