Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. just snapped up a sci-fi action spec script from screenwriter Chad St. John that offers a unique and intriguing angle on the alien apocalypse scenario we all know and love. Basically it's your standard "aliens want us all dead" line but with a twist. They try to wipe us out one day at a time by traveling into the past. Kind of like Terminator meets Independence Day.

Story centers on aliens invading Earth by traveling backwards through time and wiping out humanity -- yesterday by yesterday -- while one man stays a yesterday ahead of them, trying to convince the world that the end is coming again.

Why those pesky aliens want us all dead this time has not been made clear yet but since this sounds so cool we'll be sure to keep you posted. Oh, and btw the still to the right is from another awesome alien invasion flick called Evil Aliens. If you haven't seen it check it out stat. It's completely insane.

Sounds interesting, but problematic. I want to see it just to know how they solve that.
