The horror community is a buzz with anticipation over Devil's Due Publishing's imminent release of the comic book The Zombies That Ate the World in February. Here's what it's about:

Zombies picks up in the year 2064. Knowing full well that it can't dispense with the rising number of the undead, the U.S. government implements a new policy allowing zombies to dwell amongst the living. Naturally, this "plan" doesn't go so well.

But more interesting to me is that The Zombies That Ate the World was actually translated into a cartoon that was then scrapped. But why? It's so good! After the break is a 10 minute preview that was made for the cartoon that STYD dug up.

judging from the youtube clip, this seems like an allegory on the way we deal with old people in our society today. very interesting and disturbing.
