Last March we were one of the first to bring word of the Edgerton brothers' new thrill-mance (if I can coin a genre) film The Square. It's never played in the States yet but since we first reported on it, it's gone on to win rave reviews and even make Hollywood's International watch list.
Escaping the monotony of a loveless marriage, Raymond Yale becomes entangled in an affair with the beautiful and troubled Carla. Ray’s moral limits are tested when Carla presents him with the proceeds of her controlling husband’s latest crime. This is their chance: Take the money and run... If only it were that simple.
A new international trailer has emerged and after viewing again I wanted to post it up. The Square still looks like a superbly downbeat, multi-story outsider romance/thriller and I can't wait to see it.
