Whew, just when I thought we weren't going to be able to bring you any post-apocalyptic film news at all this week what do I get in my inbox but an email from French Canadian director Simon Boivin letting me know that he's finished principal photography on the second part to his 2027 series!

You long time QE readers may remember my admiration for Boivin's 80s PA exploitation homage, 2027: Le Depart. The 17 minute short embraced its low budget leanings and revelled in old-school model work, synth-rock, and stellar attention to detail.

In the second episode Jake and Kreg, having escaped the clutches of the evil Clan, are struggling to survive in a cold nuclear winter. That's really all we know at this point but, with principle photography wrapped, Boivin tells me it won't be long before we get some DVDs. Check the teasers for both parts after the break.

Looks nice! I really liked the machine gun in the truck in the first trailer.

I'm REALLY glad this guy's actually making more parts to the series. He should compile them into a feature of sorts when he's all done. Or maybe post them in full online as a webseries.

Thanks for the comment and the idea.

The serie should have 6 épisode.

The third is writtent, and the fifth in a state of idea.

The sisht should be the end...

And for a web serie I like the idea, I will check what is offer to us. We'll like to use the sale to produce the others episode. So in uploading it we're hurting the sale of DVD.

We need to raise found to get the serie alive.

Thanks
