At first glance Stephen J. Hadden's upcoming Bio-Dead might look like your everyday run-of-the-mill indie plague-thriller but there's something lingering beneath the surface of the film's new trailer that makes me wonder if there isn't more going on that demands attention.

For on thing, the music is a dead ringer for any number of classic John Carpenter soundtracks and evokes memories of great genre flicks from the 80s. There is also some fantastic claustrophobic photography at work as well as some intense camera work.

12 Million fatalities in "The Zone." The first to die were the lucky ones...

As you can see, we don't know much about the film's plot just that it sounds creepy as all hell. Check out the trailer after the break and let's all hope we hear more about Bio-Dead soon.
