The Hills Have Eyes, Wrong Turn, Dying Breed, Bred, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Last House in the Woods... the list of recent cannibal flicks seems to go on and on. In fact, you'd think we'd be getting a little tired of the ol' cannibals- eating-city-dwellers yarn by now but nope, this set-up's still got legs baby.
The trailer for Offspring, the film adaptation of splatterpunk writer Jack Ketchum's novel of the same has finally dropped and it looks like it may live up to the intensity and smarts of the book.
Survivors of a feral flesh-eating clan are chowing their way through the locals. Amy Halbard and Claire Carey strive to survive their abduction by the cannibals and save their children. A subplot involving Claire's despicable husband, Steven, gives an opportunity to cleverly compare predatory civilized folk to the appetite-driven primitives.
Check out the film's official website for more info as it happens and catch the trailer after the break.

Ooooooo... this looks horri-fabulous. Anyone read the book? Good? Should I read?

I hate to be a critic but sitting here watching this 79 minute piece of crap is best described as one's own personnal h3ll. So many times I've found myself watching this and thinking that wouldn't happen. For instance a woman is tortured and finally ends up holding a gun to the attackers head, but does she shot... Oh that would make sense and would prevent the prolonging of this mental beatdown, so no she doesn't. Last I though, three well armed police officers versus one woman and two kids with sticks was an easy match, but I gues the officers forgot that GUNS CAN KILL! Sitting through this movie I ponder how am
I going to apolgize to my eyes and brain for making me sit through this piece of crap. Now this is not geared towards the movie being low budget, because alot of low budget movies are pretty good. It is just the feeling of who honestly thinks this would work out the way it did? Honestly think about physics and human defense responses before you make anymore movies to abuse the masses eyes. 3 out of 10 and one thumb struggling to go down further. BOO!!!

I loved the book and the movie was very good, I have no idea what Damien Pulscher was talking about-___- Sure the book got me more....excited than the movie did but you just have to remember that if you were a cop and you saw basicly almost taken children and women with weapons wouldn't you pause and think? Thats what I thought about the part you explained with the 3 cops is that they were trying to figure stuff out in their heads.
All in all it was good movie
