agentorange [Celluloid 02.03.09] post apocalyptic movie news scifi video



The official website for Roland Emmerich's big budget end-of-days movie, 2012, has been slightly revamped and given a new link to a site called Thisistheend.com. This site is yet another viral marketing site which looks to be run by actor Woody Harrelson (AKA "Charlie Frost)" in a scraggly beard who wants to keep us all up to speed on when, where, and how we can expect the apocalypse to hit.

You'll no doubt remember the other viral site, The Institute for Human Continuity which got you to enter your vitals in a lottery for survival. Pretty dire stuff. Thankfully, this one's a bit more fun. So far, Charlie's unleashed two rants upon the world and we've got them for you after the break for you so dive right in!

This is Woody harrelston in a beard. In 2012 on Dec. 21 will be another day and nothing else. Why did the mayan run out, who knows, maybe they quit or died out or whatever. So, this is a ploy to market the movie coming out, so people don't freak over nothing!!

Idiots this stuff is based in theory ok wats really going to happen is if u can read the mayan, hopi, hindu and so on. But ofcoures I still give credit to CharlieFrost. Anyways all the things that's gonna happen are about 70%-90% natural and 20%-40% personal or in means The people. So yeah it may be the end but is still be like any other day, oh and for the info 12/21/2012 is the end and beginning of the world itself. Think about them apples. See ya!

Hey whats going on. Yeah, I do think that the world is going to end in 2012. And I also believe that it will end in fire. I dont know why I think it will end in 2012 exactly, maybe its a feeling I get when I take a look at the world today. Looking at the violence, oppression, and starvation that so many people face while the other twenty percent of the human race is enjoying steak dinners and five cars. Also, looking at the increase in the worlds enviornmental and weather problems over the years has brought me some concern. The Tsunami, more fires every year in california, the more recent Tsunami in Pandora (correct me if i'm wrong) and even Hurricane Katrina. Well, just some food for thought.

1. Y2K, for the most part, wasn't scare mongering. Computer date calculation problems really were set to become a major problem (I know, I worked on resolving Y2K problems for a large organization - and no, I didn't get paid for it) but BECAUSE of the money put into resolving those problems, it didn't come to be the problem it would have been.

2. This movie's gonna be great, even if it's completely outlandish.

3. If the crust cracks, we're all dead - doesn't matter where you are.

4. No one really knows what's going to happen on 2012. The "science" in the video is factual, but not necessarily related to 2012. The larger problem for us right now is climate change - we might actually be able to do something about that.

2012 is real.... don't be fooled by the hype.. this is in the sky and is fore told by every one who uses more then 10% of their brains.. look at it like this... the last time it was a solar storm such as the one we are gear'n up for the next day there were no more dionsurs left... Well like it is NOT going 2 happen don't listen to the trailer..Mayans did not predict it, scientest did not agree that it was going to end. U r going to wake up on x mas morning feeling like a real big donkey n every1 will hate u 4ever. Dont u think they would b preparin us by now? ok first of all noone can predict the end of time ya the world may be fucked up but in the end no one can prove or really know when and as of the mayans they didnt predict the end of the world they said a good and new change will occur think about it this way those solar storms that are going on ya they said that if that hits us the whole usa will be without power even transportation thus causeing everyone to freak out and them saying this is the end of life as we know it if you think about it life as we know it we need and depend on power thats our life and thats wat that saying means not that we are all going to die ya i think some people will die from lack of food or watever but most of us will survive if you are prepared for it the news is already talking about and thats why the sudden urge to recycle comes from think about it people the mayans said this is a good change but a bad ending for us meaning bad for us in the sense we wont have power for months and good in the sense it will be great for the earth and give it some breathing space from us humans and all our power

Stop believing 2012, people. Reason: The Mayans never said that the world ended in December 21, 2012. They only said that their calender ends on that day.
