agentorange [Celluloid 02.19.09] post apocalyptic movie news

Word from the boys at BD is that producer Wes Craven wants to team up with Last House on the Left helmer, Dennis Iliadis, on a remake of the recent Spanish apocalypse drama, Before the Fall (review here). While at the LHOTL after party, Craven said:

"I would work with Dennis [Iliadis] again in a heartbeat... We’re talking to him about doing some projects. Theres a film that he’s very intrigued by called Before the Fall, a Spanish film. It's definitely a genre film, the world's ending and there are astroids coming through the atmosphere and people are starting to riot in the cities. It takes place in Spain."


You may remember we reported that F. Javier Gutiérrez's Before the Fall was on Hollywood's International Watch List, so it wouldn't surprise me if this remake actually found production money.
