For those of you who haven't been paying attention to some of the news that's been trickling out following the Terminator: Salvation panel at this year's Wondercon here's your update. First of all, let me just say that I like the transparent way this McG dude communicates to us fans. During the panel he told the audience that the studio was indeed battling him for a PG-13 cut of the film, even calling a specific exec out by name. Ballsy. Of course, this has been a worry from day one but McG promised that he'd fight tooth and nail to retain the R-cut he'd always intended. I guess we'll see.

Also following Wondercon are a flurry of new promotional materials for the film including the first image of Bryce Dallas Howard who plays a pregnant Kate Connor and a very ugly T-600 that's got some sort of human shaped sack on his head. This bot's not fooling anyone, but he's certainly scary. Check out our T4 gallery after the break. Terminator Salvation comes out in 79 days 9 (yep, marked on the calendar).

Wow, this looks like it has the potential to be amazing and reinvent the franchise on a new, darker level.
