Once again the good folks at the Sci-Fi London Film Festival have authorized us to announce that the man himself, Cory McAbee, will be in attendance to play his latest masterpiece Stingray Sam (review here). The tentative plan is to screen it on Saturday, May 2nd followed by a Q&A. Furthermore, according to this blog post the folks behind SS are not sending out screeners to festivals or anyone (including me, drats), and are instead relying on word of mouth for fest play. This seems kind of odd to me, but with the talent behind it I'm guessing they won't have any problems. Now if only that screening Cory said might happen in Boulder (about 45 minutes from me) would come sooner..

A dangerous mission reunites Stingray Sam with his long lost accomplice, The Quasar Kid. Follow these two space-convicts as they earn their freedom in exchange for the rescue of a young girl who is being held captive by the genetically designed figurehead of a very wealthy planet. This musical space-western miniseries is designed for small screens and perfect for screens of all sizes.

Again, sweet trailer after the break.
