I was first reminded of Primer the way this starts, but it careens, into the supernatural, and while it looks like a thriller it could almost be a horror. It's very low budget but I have to say, it's got some serious potential.

An ambitious mystery, with strong elements of science fiction and the supernatural, Phasma Ex Machina follows the lives of two brothers and an electrical engineer trying to decipher a series of strange events. Everything changes when they discover that the distance between the living and the dead isn’t all that far.

Trailer after the break.

Too funny. When people ask me what other movies is it like I always mention Primer and Solaris. I usually get a blank stare in return. You guys, however, know your stuff. Great website too.

Looks real cool.
Whens the drop, DVD I assume?
I was wondering when the Primer director would do something new but this looks like it will fit right in.

Actually we don't really know when it's going to drop. We're trying to keep our options open (the movie is still in post after all), but we're assuming that we'll do a festival run and then probably DVD. You never know however. We're gonna fight hard for this thing...

Strong concept and the execution looks tight.
Will definitely be looking out for this one.
