No this is not the Benderspink comic adaptation but it's own film which was already in the works, it just has the same name. Billed as a "political zomedy" (where the hells the b?), the film apparently covers homosexuality, terrorism, politics, and maybe even the kitchen sink. I am really digging the zombies effects but admittedly, the trailer isn't cut too well and I hope the film is better!

Life is wonderful for the people in the quiet, Island town of Port Gamble. Frida, a young Iranian-American college dropout is back in town to help her father run the family restaurant. Tom Hunt, a Wall Street broker, visits his hometown with his outspoken boyfriend Lance in order to finally come out to his estranged mother. As Frida, Tom, and Lance take life-changing steps, the town faces a far greater challenge: A zombie virus outbreak!

Trailer after the break.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaa? Don't soot I am gay? You know I am a vampire man? Is this suppose to be funny?
The gore and zombies maybe look nice, but they should have stayed out from the comedy.

I looked around online and found out that it premieres at the Washington, DC International Film Festival on April 18th. It's also in a couple of other festivals. They have a facebook and myspace site, too. I think it's a good trailer. Hopefully the movie will be even better!
