agentorange [Cathode Ray Mission 03.31.09] scifi poster dystopic



We've spilled a lot of digital ink over AMC's upcoming 6 episode remake of the classic 60s scifi drama, The Prisoner and we're prepared to spill even more as fall 2009 quickly approaches. As you'll remember, the new series stars none other than Jim Caviezel as #6 and Sir Ian McKellen as his captor, #2.

This new promo image that has appeared over at broadcastnow is pretty striking. It features McKellen, obviously a master manipulator, holding his captor, #6 in a medicine bottle. Is this perhaps a clue as to how the establishment keeps their prisoners at bay?

I was in the 10th grade when the original series came out in the US in 1968 and have been a fan eversince. Be seeing you!

Sweet? I say sour.
That poster is poor as it gives a misleading impression of the series. Looks like it's about someone being a prisoner of alcoholism.

I disagree, the poster gives the impression of someone being held prisoner by a giant.
