Fans of Philip K. Dick may be excited to see what comic guys, BOOM! Studios, have in store for us with their new 24 issue adaptation of "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" (the book that inspired the film Blade Runner).

According to MTV's Splash Page who broke the news, the series will adapt the novel verbatim by "mixing all new panel-to-panel continuity with the actual text from the novel." Artist Steven Dupre ("Wolf") is providing interior art for the series while “FreakAngels” writer Warren Ellis will provide "backmatter" in each issue.

You can see a bevy of cover art images as well as the first four pages of the first issue hitting shelves in June after the break.

UPDATE: Boom! Studios has released new cover art as well as the first four pages of issue #1 so if you're a total Dick head like me, check it out after the break.

"I'm not sure about this," he wrote, tapping the keyboards loudly, angrily.
